About The Position
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner needed for locum tenens coverage in an inpatient setting at Newport News, VA. This is a supplemental coverage role for ongoing needs, primarily focusing on clinical duties. The NICU is a Level III unit with 22 beds, handling approximately 340 admissions annually. Services include advanced respiratory support like jet ventilators, HFJV, INO, and whole body cooling. There are 3 Neonatologists and NNPs in practice, with evening back-up neonatologist coverage from home.
Requirements
- Active VA License
- BC (Board Certified)
- Clean record
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient NICU setting.
- Manage patient care within a Level III NICU with 22 beds.
- Utilize services including jet ventilators, HFJV, INO, and whole body cooling.
- Collaborate with Neonatologists and other NNPs in the practice.
