About The Position

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a PRN Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its Level III NICU team at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. The NICU serves Southwest Georgia and provides advanced care for premature, critically ill, and medically complex newborns. The NNP provides advanced neonatal care alongside neonatologists, NICU nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists in a high-acuity environment. The role includes patient care management, counseling, and education for patients and families in collaboration with facility physicians.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification.
• Current APRN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Additional department-specific certifications as applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently and collaboratively in a high-acuity neonatal setting.

Nice To Haves

• Prior NICU and NNP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal patient assessment and management.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform procedures within the NNP scope of practice.
• Participate in clinical decision-making for critically ill and premature infants.
• Educate and support patients' families throughout the care journey.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based neonatal care.
• Provide patient care management, counseling, and education in collaboration with facility physicians.
