About The Position

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region. It's a highly specialized, nationally recognized center providing the highest level of care available for sick or premature newborns, including advanced treatment for respiratory failure and heart disease. This role requires the ability to work in a high-tech, fast-paced environment, with a commitment to customer-focused, family-centered care. Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
  • Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
  • Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services.
  • Assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
