About The Position

Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for individuals in a Critical Care Unit. Accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of critical care nursing and supports the hospital’s and department’s mission, vision, and values. Performs activities related to the needs of critically ill patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Care may involve infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the state.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Successful completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or completion within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Successful completion of the institutional Intermediate EKG Course.
• Successful completion of the institutional Critical Care Course if the candidate has no prior critical care experience.
• Successful completion of stroke requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating personal computers, including software in a Windows environment.
