About The Position

The NEMT Driver picks up wheelchair or stretcher patients using a company vehicle equipped for wheelchair or stretcher transport and fitted with a GPS system. The driver may work independently or alongside a teammate depending on driving assignments. The role includes transporting patients safely between their homes and places of service, providing customer service to patients and families, using company transportation software, and maintaining the vehicle. On-call responsibilities are included.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license.
• Three years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no more than one point.
• Ability to pass a drug test and health screening, including alcohol screening and a TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Ability to lift or maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations.
• Professionalism.
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual language ability.
• Previous wheelchair transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle, independently or with a teammate as assigned.
