About The Position

The NEMT Driver transports wheelchair or stretcher patients in a fully equipped company vehicle with a GPS system. The position may be performed independently or alongside another teammate, depending on driving assignments. Drivers safely transport patients between their homes and places of service, provide customer service to patients and families, and handle related vehicle and communication responsibilities.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license.
• At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no more than 1 point.
• Ability to pass a drug test and health screening, including alcohol screening and a TB skin test and/or TB chest x-ray.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test.
• Ability to lift or maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluency in speaking and understanding English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations.
• Professionalism.
• Ability to use apps and electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual language ability.
• Previous wheelchair transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle.
• Safely transport patients from home to their place of service and return them home safely.
