About The Position
Join Bethesda, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to “Serving others together in faith, community, and life.” As a Neighborhood Assistant, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting residents’ daily lives—helping them feel valued, comfortable, and connected in a brand-new, welcoming community. In this dynamic, hands-on role, you’ll serve as both a caregiver and life-enrichment partner.
Requirements
- A caring, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and help wherever needed
- Reliability and a compassionate approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Experience is helpful, but not required
- No diploma or certification needed—we’ll train you
Responsibilities
- Assist with mealtime service and cleanup
- Help residents move safely throughout the community
- Support light housekeeping tasks such as tidying rooms and making beds
- Engage residents in fun and meaningful activities
- Lead or assist with group and one-on-one programs like: Exercise and wellness activities, Devotionals and spiritual engagement, Crafts, games, and social gatherings, Music and pet therapy experiences
