About The Position

This position is open to a Level 1, Level 2 or Trainee NDT X-Ray Tech HOURLY PAY RANGE: $18.50/h - $32.00/h+ dependent on certifications and experience + 10% shift Differential + Quarterly Bonus Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm SUMMARY: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Participate in the X-RAY inspection of product castings. Follow instructions from customer or department supervision were provided or, in the absence of instructions. Operate X-RAY equipment and expose film following established techniques. Load and prepare film holders, add identifying information such as job numbers, part orientation or location symbols and other data required on final films. Insert pentameters as required. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Perform related duties, as assigned. Must know and follow all departmental and company safety rules. NOTE: Must qualify to PCC Structurals Quality Control Procedure RI 4.1 SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must comply with all applicable safety requirements, policies and procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Must participate in required training, medical monitoring, safety, and health evaluations and programs. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility. Perform all physical functions of position, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, walking, twisting, kneeling, turning and lifting of materials up to 35 lbs. Meet established attendance standards. Work overtime as needed. Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Use shop mathematics.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, charts and tables.
  • Use various types of precision measuring instruments.
  • Apply specialized technical or trades knowledge equivalent to 1 to 3 years, trades training.
  • At least 3 years.
  • Hold Certification in NDT RT Level I and internal certification.
