Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as an NDT Technician
  • Valid Level II certification of relevant NDT techniques, e.g. UT, MT and LT
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with a wide range of inspection techniques
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective time management and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to research and evaluate new products and methodologies
  • Commitment to compliance with industry safety standards
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Consideration for user and environmental impact in products and processes
  • Ability to prepare clear, detailed technical reports
  • Creative problem-solving skills applied to inspection challenges

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in PAUT and Eddy Current are considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates and effort assessments for NDT inspection work, including field execution, data analysis, and reporting activities
  • Assist in the development of technical proposals and supporting documentation for client submissions
  • Perform NDT system setup, calibration, and verification in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
  • Conduct on-site inspections and data collection using a range of NDT techniques and instrumentation
  • Execute NDT methods to assess material condition and integrity. This may include, but is not limited to, the application of a range of conventional and advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), liquid penetrant testing (LT), eddy current testing (ET)measurements, and phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT).
  • Process and analyze inspection data, including signal interpretation and quality assessment
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and traceable technical reports, including: Methodology, Findings and observations, Supporting data and interpretation
  • Ensure all inspection data is properly recorded and traceable to specific measurement locations
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards during all field and office activities
