About The Position

At Jered, a PAR Systems Company, we design and build large-scale ship systems for the U.S. Navy and other customers operating in high-consequence environments where performance and reliability are critical. As an NDT Level II Technician, you will ensure the integrity of welds and assemblies through non-destructive testing and accurate inspection records. You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Production Control to verify compliance with engineering and contractual requirements and support successful system delivery. Success Criteria: You will perform VT, PT, and MT inspections in accordance with drawings and specifications while verifying dimensional compliance using standard tools. Your inspection records will be complete, accurate, and audit-ready, supporting full traceability and product acceptance. You will audit welding procedures, confirm qualifications, and ensure equipment calibration while collaborating with manufacturing to resolve issues without compromising quality. You will also support ISO 9001 efforts, maintain NDT equipment, and contribute to safe, compliant operations. As you develop, you will have opportunities to expand into additional inspection disciplines and advanced certifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years' inspection experience in a welding/fabrication environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering fabrication and assembly drawings
  • NDT Level II certifications in the VT, MT & PT methods
  • Proficient with Hand measuring/layout tools (Tape Measure, combination square, level)
  • Proficient with basic math (addition/subtraction of fractions)
  • US Person

Nice To Haves

  • Navy (Tech Pub /278 and/or MIL-STD-1689) inspection experience
  • Proficient with Advanced measurement/layout tools (transit/optic level, micrometers, CMM)

Responsibilities
