About The Position

Doncasters is seeking an experienced NDT XRAY Level 2 professional to join their team in Groton, Connecticut. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of investment castings used in aerospace and other high-performance industries. The company is a leading international manufacturer of specialist superalloys and high-performance alloy components, serving demanding industries such as aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbines, automotive, and medical. Requirements

NAS 410 RT or DR certified NDT FPI level 2 candidates
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Firm understanding of gauging and measuring equipment
High school and/or technical school completion
1-3 Years in a manufacturing environment
Basic shop math skills
Requires ability to pass visual acuity test
Ability to pass Level II written and practical tests
Ability to complete specialized Radiographic Training 40 hours (for a total of 80 hours which includes the 40 hours for Level I)
Complete a total of 1200 hours of O.J.T (for a total of 1600 hours of O.J.T. which includes the 400 hours for Level I)

Nice To Haves

2 years’ experience as a certified NDT Level I in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Conducting radiographic inspections
Analysing x-ray film
Developing techniques for complex casting geometries
Supporting training initiatives
Assisting with audits
Maintaining compliance with NADCAP and AS9100 standards
