About The Position

NDT Technician 2 Full-time Airway Heights, WA, WA Exclusive confidential search — details shared with qualified applicants. Become a Key Player as an NDT Technician 2 You will perform critical non-destructive testing to ensure aircraft sheet metal components meet specifications and safety standards. You will work closely with the inspection team, manufacturing planners, and supervisors to document findings and improve inspection methods. This role is onsite, 1st shift (4x10s, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Required certifications in FPI, Radiographic, and Digital X-Ray Inspection and documented NDT hours.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints, and sketches.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with established NDT processes and the ability to anticipate inspection-related problems.

Nice To Haves

• General knowledge of welding and forming processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing on a variety of sheet metal aircraft components (including conventional x-ray, FPI, and digital x-ray).
• Process parts and interpret findings per company and customer specifications; accurately document inspection results.
• Follow and create/revise NDT technique sheets and ensure revisions meet requirements.
• Generate x-ray film for parts with simple and complex geometry.
• Check required dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices.
• Support and assist NDT Technician 1 and escalate faulty processes to the appropriate NDT tech or supervisor.
• Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of NDT methods and propose productivity improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation in manufacturing planning and the paperless timecard system.
