About The Position

Intertek is seeking an NDT Supervisor (Pipe Mill) to join their Technical Inspection Services team in Youngstown, OH. This role involves assisting clients in monitoring, surveillance, and supervision of pipe mill activities and ensuring quality standards are met. The Technical Inspection Services team partners with clients in industries like oil & gas, renewable energy, engineering, chemical, and transportation, supporting infrastructure demands through inspection, expediting, technical auditing, and site construction support.

Requirements

• Minimum Level ASNT II certification + API 5L and API 5CT standards
• Strong experience in NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, VT and related techniques)
• Previous experience within a pipe mill / tubular manufacturing environment
• Autonomous, proactive and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Experience representing clients / acting as owner's representative would be considered a strong advantage

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Client in the overall monitoring, surveillance and/or supervision of the facilities pipe activities and the procedures necessary in achieving the desired level of quality as it pertains to the project.
• Participate in project meetings as needed.
• Supervise inspectors on a day-to-day basis to enforce effective utilization and timely verification of the project quality objectives as needed.
• Witness testing, perform verifications, and monitor project activities.
• Assess/Audit contractor, subcontractor, and vendor activities to ensure effective execution of the quality assurance programs and plan.
• Compile information relating to contractor, subcontractor, or vendor quality, which can be used to support changes in their quality assurance programs, plans and procedures.
• Report the status of the contractors, subcontractors, or vendors overall quality assurance program to Client and its specific effectiveness on the project as it relates to non-destructive testing performed by the pipe manufacturer.
• Provide coordination effort and assistance as requested by Client and Lead Pipe Mill Inspector.
• Prepare and issue inspection report.
