About The Position

We are seeking a Mill Supervisor to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for milling related activities, ensuring that the tasks are properly executed as per company’s standards. This position will primarily oversee the milling process, will provide support, and guidance to the millers, including working scheduling.

Requirements

Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
Minimum of 3-4 years working experience in a flour mill.
A Diploma, Certificate, or Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling or equivalent training in flour milling science and technology.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Competent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience in production planning and scheduling would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Supervise milling operations with Head Miller, assisting with training, inspections and contributing to continuous improvement projects in a meaningful way.
Monitor, control and focus on improving efficiencies of the mill through communication, troubleshooting, and working with staff.
Ensure all mills are running optimally and will assist hourly millers in daily mill performance checks.
Plan and prepare for sanitation work orders and mill maintenance during provided downtime.
Help provide coverage for the Production Supervisor and Head Miller.
Organize and maintain flour sieves and milling consumable parts.
Assist during downtime with heat treatments, cleaning and sifter maintenance.
Maintain a safe working environment and a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation in accordance with BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards) and Food Safety procedures.
