About The Position

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is hiring an NDT Quality Inspector at its Hager City, Wisconsin plant. The inspector performs ultrasonic (UT), magnetic particle (MT), visual (VT), and dimensional inspections of materials and products to ensure they meet applicable standards and requirements. The role also supports training Level I Inspectors and requires the ability to stand for long periods. The position is on second shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background in Quality Control or a related field.
• Experience using inspection tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Hands-on experience performing visual inspections on welds.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• NDT classroom training certificate and documented on-the-job training hours.
• Ability to work second shift.
• Ability to stand for long periods while performing work functions.
• Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication.

Nice To Haves

• UT Level II Shear Wave qualification.
• VT Level II qualification.
• MT Level II qualification.
• CWI certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform UT inspection functions in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A requirements for a Level II inspector.
• Perform visual and ultrasonic weld inspections to AWS D1.1 requirements.
• Perform magnetic particle inspection using the dry powder yoke method.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Complete inspection documentation accurately and neatly.
• Comply with safety regulations at all times.
• Communicate effectively and act professionally with personnel.
• Participate in training Level I Inspectors.
