About The Position

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is hiring an NDT Quality Inspector for its Tulsa plant. The role performs UT, MT, VT, and dimensional inspections of materials and products to ensure they conform to applicable standards and requirements. The inspector supports quality throughout the manufacturing process by examining utility structures, materials, plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds; completing accurate inspection records and reports; and following relevant codes and regulations. The position is on 1st shift and is part of a team that manufactures utility structures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience.
• UT Shear Wave experience, preferably on T-joints and welds with backing bars or other types of structural welds.
• Experience with AWS D1.1 standards.
• Ability to independently apply and use quality science.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
• Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations.
• Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
• Dependability, a positive attitude, and ability to work well with a team toward a common goal.

Nice To Haves

• CWI certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform UT, VT, and MT inspections on utility structures throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct visual and measured inspections and tests of materials and products to verify conformance with standards and requirements.
• Complete inspection records and reports accurately, enter data, and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
• Inspect materials or plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform nondestructive examinations using measuring instruments and inspection equipment to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors.
• Participate in safety committees and other initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
