About The Position

Meyer Utility Structures is seeking a Quality Inspector for its Lancaster, South Carolina plant. The role performs visual and measured inspections and tests of materials and products to verify conformance with standards and requirements. The inspector completes inspection records and reports and follows applicable codes and regulations. The position works rotating night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with occasional overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Experience using inspection tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Quality control experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with up to 3 years of related work experience.
• Welding background.
• Ability to stand for long periods while performing work functions.

Nice To Haves

• VT Level II certification preferred.
• MT Level II certification preferred.
• CWI and UT are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to AWS D1.1 requirements.
• Perform magnetic particle inspection using the dry powder yoke method.
• Inspect incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Complete inspection documentation accurately and neatly.
• Comply with safety regulations.
• Participate in training Level I Inspectors.
• Perform work functions while standing for long periods.
