About The Position

This role is for an NDT Level 2-FPI X-Ray Technician responsible for setting up and standardizing equipment, processing parts, interpreting and evaluating results for acceptance or rejection, and documenting findings as a NADCAP Level II Technician. The technician must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method, conduct system performance checks, and provide guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel. A basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology is required. The position also involves providing off-shift coverage for FPI & X-ray production operations (2nd or 3rd shift).

Requirements

Solid understanding of basic math (will be required to take and pass a Basic Math Test).
Knowledgeable with computers and Microsoft Office (will be required to take and pass a Computer Literacy Test).
Must be able to pass a vision test (Snellen 20/25).
Able to work alone and stay on task.
At least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Ability to prove status as a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee or refugee status).

Nice To Haves

NAS-410 Level - 2 certification (within last 3 years) in FPI and/or X-ray.
Working knowledge of the product technologies used by JTI.
Ability to work with others in multiple settings (i.e. one-on-one, teams, customers, and auditors).
Qualify as a Level II NDT Technician within 2 years from hire date.

Responsibilities

Set up and standardize equipment.
Process parts.
Interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection.
Document results as a NADCAP Level II Technician.
Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards.
Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and level - 1 personnel.
Be familiar with codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method used.
Provide off shift coverage for FPI & X-ray production operations (2nd or 3rd shift).
