Pratt & Whitney is seeking individuals to transform the future of flight by designing, building, and servicing engines. This role involves performing Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI), a non-destructive testing method used to examine the structure of aerospace case parts for defects. The inspector will verify conformance to work instructions and repair scope by marking areas not meeting criteria, using FPI booths for cleaning and processing, and inspecting internal case structures with specialized equipment. The position requires preparing and completing inspection documents, collaborating with various departments, and reviewing work instructions, repair operations, and blueprints. The inspector will use tools such as FPI booths, equipment, and inspection fixtures, and may assist Level III Quality Engineers in developing test techniques. Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Programs is mandatory. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm.
