Pratt & Whitney is seeking an NDT Inspector specializing in Fluorescent Penetration Inspection (FPI) for the 2nd shift. This role is crucial for examining the structure of aerospace case parts using FPI, a non-destructive testing method, to identify defects requiring repair. The inspector will perform FPI methods on various engine cases, ensuring conformance to work instructions and repair scopes by marking non-conforming areas. The process involves cleaning and processing parts in an FPI Booth, inspecting internal case structures with specialized equipment, and preparing detailed inspection documentation. Collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations teams is expected, along with reviewing work instructions, repair requirements, and blueprints. The role utilizes FPI booths, equipment, and inspection fixtures, and may involve assisting Level III Quality Engineers in developing test techniques. Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Programs is mandatory.
