About The Position

Responsible for safe day-to-day activities required to inspect the company's products and processes using Non-destructive inspection techniques. Work independently or as a team member, under minimal supervision of cognizant authority, in the daily execution of tasks necessary to meet quality and scheduled goals of the company. Ability to exercise independent judgment as necessary to complete tasks.

Requirements

  • MUST BE A U.S Citizen.
  • MUST currently hold certification as a Level 1 UT Inspector with the ability to be certified as a Level 2 UT Inspector.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in hands-on operational Non-destructive inspection.
  • Knowledge of engineering mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry and basic engineering theories.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and written instructions and perform complex Non-destructive inspection.
  • Requires sound knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply inspection techniques and processes utilized by the company.
  • Ability to function individually or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • two years engineering or technical college education

Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate equipment to meet schedule requirements.
  • Refine hands-on proficiency with composite Non-destructive inspection processes utilized by the company.
  • Perform Non-destructive inspection activities involved in the manufacturing of products and processes including, but not limited to, the use of the following NDI methods; ultrasonics, visual, and coin tap.
  • Ensure that calibration and maintenance requirements equipment, tools, etc., are in conformance with quality assurance guidelines and customer specifications.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings or sketches.
  • Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling and disposal requirements in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform Process and product audits.
  • Prepare inspection reports, document observations such as non-conformances.
  • Communicate ideas, problems and suggestions to supervisory authority.
  • Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.
  • Comply with Human Resources policies in a manner that is fair and equitable for all employees while ensuring optimum productivity and resource utilization and a safe workplace.
  • Fully comply with the Company "Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the government.
