This role is responsible for conducting quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract specific requirements. The technician will provide factual, comprehensive data and draft reports for customers addressing NDT inspection criteria completely. This position involves coordination with Project Management, Production, Customers, and Third Party Surveyors, as well as the preparation of Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Reports, and the review and certification of final documentation for customers. The role requires demonstrated proficiency as a minimum NDT Level I/II with a minimum of 600 logged hours in Radiographic Testing (RT) (CR or DR). The technician will set up and perform NDT test procedures, interpret specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria, and be familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified. They will exercise assigned responsibility for On-the-Job Training (OJT) and guidance of trainees, and be able to prepare written instructions and organize and report the results of examinations. The role involves working independently and supporting team members, and performing other job-related tasks as needed.
