The NDT Level II-FPI will inspect and verify dimensional compliance for products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection. This role is responsible for detecting and interpreting flaws in metal parts using FPI methods, applying knowledge of flaw indications and quality control requirements to determine acceptability, and preparing parts for NDT inspections in accordance with approved data. The inspector will use magnifiers to ensure the reliability of the NDT inspection process, document inspection results, and maintain records. They will also determine part routing based on technical orders and process routing work instructions, attend training for certification, and may cross-train other employees. Adherence to safety, fire, and housekeeping regulations is crucial, as is checking tools and equipment for safe usage, calibration, and proper storage. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement and 6S initiatives, meeting visual acuity requirements, and generating suggestions for work improvement.
