Operates a variety of mobile hydraulic boom cranes with lifting capacities over 50 ton at locations where maneuverability is restricted, and accuracy is critical. Makes precise load placements where exact movements are necessary, to position the load accurately and safely. Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.” Represents the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.” Performs loading and unloading of equipment and supplies, where masts, antennas, and other obstructions exist. Precision positioning of equipment, lifting heavy machinery and components, as well as beams and lumber. Cross trains in other positions, and performs other related duties as assigned. Will work in a cab and use pilot operated joystick controls, pedals, levers and buttons to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments, such as hooks, slings, electromagnets, and buckets. Operators will observe load hookup and determine safety of load and inspect and report on crane and hoisting mechanism. Crane operators must be careful and attentive at all times so they can follow directions closely as they will communicate with team members both verbally and by signal instruction. Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards. Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
