About The Position

Turner Industries Group is looking for NCCCO certified Crane Operators for work in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Crane Operator will be responsible for the operation of various power-driven and hydraulic machinery used to move materials. This is a long-term position with a 40-hour work week, including occasional travel and working in plants. The role requires operating large and small cranes (TSS, TLL) and a Class A CDL. No per diem is offered.

Requirements

  • NCCCO certification required (TSS/TLL)
  • TWIC required
  • Class A CDL
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
  • High school or equivalent
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill

Responsibilities

  • Operate various power-driven and hydraulic machinery used to move materials.
  • Operate large and small cranes (TSS, TLL).
  • Move hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment.
  • Interpret hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed.
  • Read and interpret load charts.
  • May assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects.
  • May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surfaces.
  • May perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment.
  • Climb ladders, scaffolds, and structures above and below ground level.
  • Maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures.
  • Reach in all directions.
  • Handle and manipulate objects and materials.
  • Coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
  • Lift 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
  • Carry objects, tools, and equipment.
