About The Position

FlexStaff is hiring a full-time NC Milling Operator in Bohemia, New York, to join a client's aerospace manufacturing team. The operator sets up and runs NC milling machines to machine aerospace components precisely and meet high-quality standards. The position is on the day shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with an hourly pay range of $25.00 to $32.00.

The operator works with various NC milling machines and controls, performs inspections and measurements, and follows safety and compliance standards. The role also involves machine data entry, labor timekeeping oversight, handling tools, and collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production goals. The job requires standing for at least eight hours per shift and lifting and handling tools as needed.

Requirements

• Experience setting up and operating all NC milling machines.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection gauges.
• Detail-oriented and accountable, with the ability to ensure high-quality work.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills.
• Technical school diploma or machining certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate NC milling machines, including Cincinnati Milacron, Okuma 2 Pallets, Makino, and Mitsui-Seiki machines.
• Run two machines simultaneously when cycle times allow.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and NC instructions.
• Use 840D and Fanuc controls for programming and adjustments.
• Perform functional tests and inspections on completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Use measuring tools and inspection gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain accountability for work quality and follow safety and compliance standards.
• Enter small amounts of data into machines and supervise time-clock entries for labor collection.
• Lift and handle tools as needed for machine setup and operation.
• Stand for a minimum of eight hours per shift.
• Apply basic shop math for calculations and measurements.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
