About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a NC/CNC Machine Operator-1st shift. The core hours are 6:00am-2:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22.52 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Perform a wide range of machining operations on two or more Numerically Controlled Machines. Assist in the setting up of the equipment as directed. Works with operation sheets, tapes and blueprints as required. Operational sequences generally prescribed. Required to change tooling, load automatic tool changes and maintain quality standards by checking parts with adjustable or fixed gauges. Assist in isolating and correcting malfunctions in machining control units. Perform various internal operations related to producing a finished product. Move material to and from work stations. Maintain work area, machines and control units in a clean, neat and orderly condition. Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities such as minor maintenance that includes cleaning, inspection, minor lubrication and tightening loose bolts. Refer unusual conditions to proper supervision. Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations. Duties involve application of some specialized knowledge and experience and the use of judgment to plan and perform sequence of operations or procedures within limits of standard or recognized methods and established precedent. NOTE: This job is rated to include the occasional assistance and instruction of one other person.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
  • Minimum one(1) years’ previous work experience in CNC operation
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position.
