About The Position

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Naval Logistician to join its team in Chesapeake, Virginia. This onsite position supports operations for small boats under 200 feet, primarily Navy small boats. The Naval Logistician uses a strong technical background and relevant knowledge to provide parts research, onboard validation, and acquisition services, while ensuring research information is accurately entered into computer-based databases.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of logistics experience in a DoD environment.
• Experience working across large teams to advance a logistics agenda and manage complex data flows.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing equipment validations on boats, either on trailers or in the water.
• Experience using the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) or relevant systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform technically accurate parts research using construction drawings, logistics documents, technical manuals, and vendors to provision small boats and miscellaneous equipment.
• Conduct parts research and part-number cross-referencing across all facets of the federal stock system.
• Manage parts acquisition and interface professionally with customer personnel, vendors, and military personnel.
• Collect, identify, and annotate research data for entry into specialized databases.
• Recommend and implement process improvements for logistics and procurement workflows.
