About The Position
The Linn County Conservation Department has 1 temporary (full-time) opening available for the 2026 fall through spring season (Mid-October through Mid-April). This position is based at the Linn County Conservation Wanatee Park Shop and will support natural resource related work around the Linn County Conservation system.
Requirements
- Must pass a County physical examination which includes a drug test after offer of employment.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Natural resource management activities such as establishment and maintenance of native forest, prairie, and wetland ecosystems, operation of hand tools and various related equipment.
- Activities could include tree planting and maintenance, prairie installation, wetland plant establishment, invasive species control, prescribed fire operations, forest and park tree removal or timber stand improvement, and other park or natural area maintenance tasks as needed.
