About The Position

The Natural Gas Underground Utility Foreman is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing job sites and planning and executing work safely and efficiently so projects are completed on time. The foreman coordinates crews and equipment, coaches and trains team members, and supports the crew with field work such as operating equipment, pipefitting, and laboring. The role requires maintaining industry-required Operator Qualifications and completing job paperwork and updates.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
At least 2 years of prior experience in the gas utility industry.
Fluency in English, as worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English.
Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable-suspicion drug screens.
Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E-Verify.
Satisfactory pre-employment background check results.
Clean driving record.
Pass a pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test and hold or obtain a DOT medical card.
Join and maintain Union membership.
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment in the “red zone,” remain alert, and maintain quick and accurate hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

Coordinate equipment and crews from start to finish, ensuring resources are in place and work is completed safely.
Coach team members on proper use and processes to support safety and quality.
Oversee Dig Safe marking and coordinate issues with utilities.
Support the crew by operating equipment, pipefitting, and performing labor.
Complete paperwork, reports, and status updates.
Resolve work problems.
Maintain all industry-required Operator Qualifications.
Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.
