About The Position
This position is for a Natural Gas Operations Trainee in the Southeast Region. The trainee will learn various aspects of natural gas operations with the goal of advancing to NGO Technician 1 within two years. This role involves assisting with system patrolling, understanding system maps and documentation, and performing hands-on tasks related to pipeline maintenance and inspection.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Documents will be requested)
- Requires a Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review).
Responsibilities
- Assists with system patrolling.
- Learns about system maps and documentation.
- Walks or drives section of pipeline Right of Way.
- Learns about inspection, greasing, and operating mainline values.
- Learns to clean housings using appropriate methods.
- Learns how to replace damaged valves.
- Learns how to observe and inspect above ground piping and supports for corrosion.
- Learns to take wall thickness measurements.
- Assists with replacing damaged or broken line markers.
- Learns about odorant sampling.
- Learns about emergency responses.
- Develops the appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities to advance to NGO Technician 1 within two years of employment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
