The Natural Catastrophe (Nat Cat) Specialist will develop and improve models for quantifying risk associated with these hazards. The position involves collaborating with business functions like underwriting, portfolio steering, and risk management to translate catastrophe modeling insights into actionable decisions. Key responsibilities include leveraging novel technologies and advanced statistical methods to evaluate exposure to geological hazards, reviewing and assessing vulnerability to these hazards using analytical and empirical methods, and establishing expertise in natural catastrophe risk and modeling within Swiss Re, communicating these risk views internally and externally.
