The Natural Areas Management Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the management and promotion of the JJC Natural Areas. This includes data collection and summarization for deer management programs, participation in vegetation and reptile population surveys, assisting with grant research and writing, and managing meeting logistics and documentation. The intern will also be involved in ecological restoration efforts, maintaining trail maps, monitoring various aspects of the natural areas such as invasive species and water chemistry, generating monitoring reports, and maintaining a social media presence. Regular meetings with the Natural Areas Committee Chair are also a part of the role.
