About The Position

Literacy Minnesota's National Service Department engages AmeriCorps members in service across Minnesota and the country, expanding access to literacy and digital skills for under-resourced and historically marginalized communities. Through three AmeriCorps cohorts - Literacy Leadership, Digital Navigation Corps, and Summer Reads - members build the capacity of host sites and deliver direct service to children, youth, adults, and families. All three AmeriCorps programs aim to serve under-resourced and/or historically marginalized communities by expanding access to literacy services. With the supervision of the Director of National Services, the National Service Member Support Coordinator leads the development and streamlining of professional development opportunities and standards for all AmeriCorps members serving within Literacy Minnesota programs. This role’s responsibilities will span across all three National Service Programs at Literacy Minnesota and will include training and support of AmeriCorps members, building and maintaining relationships with and providing technical assistance to host sites, and evaluating and reporting program outcomes. The National Service Member Support Coordinator also works in close collaboration with AmeriCorps cohort leads, and guides intervention efforts when members require additional assistance in navigating difficulties at their host sites. They oversee orientation for both members and supervisors and maintain monthly communication with supervisors about upcoming member trainings, reporting requirements, supervision tips, and other program information. The National Services Member Support Coordinator may also complete other duties as assigned.
