About The Position

The Big Sky Resort Sales Division is seeking an exceptional and dynamic National Sales Manager to join our fast-paced and energetic team. The team member in this position is responsible for establishing and meeting annual revenue goals through group-related sales. The highly motivated individual will be responsible for identifying potential clients through a variety of lead-generating channels. Additionally, the individual is responsible for successfully negotiating and closing business, which directly influences the revenue success of Big Sky Resort.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of hospitality sales related experience.
  • Well organized with an aptitude in problem solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be available for periodic travel.
  • Familiarity with Springer Miller Host PMS platform.
  • Familiarity with Amadeus/Delphi Sales and Catering platform.
  • Familiarity with Duetto/Blockbuster Revenue Management platform.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all functions related to the Sales Cycle at Big Sky Resort, including generating, qualifying and nurturing leads, contract negotiations and closing Group Sales related business.
  • Effectively prepare and present proposals that accurately represent lodging, meeting space and seasonal recreational offerings that meet the needs of prospective clients and are aligned with the resort’s strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with individual clients, accounts and partners to drive long-term business success.
  • Conduct curated site visit experiences.
  • Ensure all sales strategies, processes, and handoffs deliver an exceptional guest experience, while enabling the conference services teams to do the same.
  • Hold a deep understanding of owned market segment dynamics - including trends and competitors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to clearly articulate and influence strategic direction of owned market segments, carry initiatives from strategy through execution, and desire for continuous optimization.
  • Ensure accurate sales data, strong system and process adoption, strengthen client relationships and effectively execute the sales cycle.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated and team/goal oriented.
