DePuy Synthes Canada is looking for an experienced senior commercial leader responsible for driving strategic stakeholder engagement, team development, tender success, commercial transformation, and new growth initiatives. Proven ability to cultivate C suite relationships across healthcare systems, policy makers, and innovation partners to enable funding pathways and market access; lead collaborative tender strategies with Sales and Marketing to secure major bids and expand into private markets; design and implement go to market models for enabling technologies and new channels. This individual will lead a high performing team while contributing as an active member of senior leadership to shape organizational strategy and long-term growth. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone Orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Requirements

  • University Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 8-10 years of experience in Sales or Marketing Leadership &/or Key Account Management is required
  • 3-5 years of people management experience is required
  • A minimum of 25% travel required (flying and driving)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA in Science &/or Business Management is preferred
  • Experience in MedTech, Pharma, SaaS within life-sciences or Biotech is preferred
  • Knowledge of AI tools, MS Dynamics & Co-pilot is preferred
  • French language skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Stakeholders Management: Responsible for overall management of key stakeholders playing an influential role in shaping the healthcare landscape and access to innovation.
  • Team management & Talent development: Develop and lead a team to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives and forge strategic relationships across healthcare systems.
  • Tender success: Responsible for overarching tender strategies in collaboration with Sales and Marketing leaders for the business unit to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Commercial Transformations: Responsible for driving adoption of key internal commercial transformation initiatives.
  • Strategic Growth Initiatives: Leading new growth opportunities by building Go-To-Market models, including but not limited Enabling Technologies and private markets.
  • Senior Leadership: Contribute to shaping Depuy Synthes trajectory in Canada by being an active member of its leadership team.
  • Support Marketing initiatives
  • Provide input for annual business plans
  • Build tools and processes for market access for Enabling Technologies
