Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Global & Domestic Programs, direct supervision of the Acting Head of Global Programs Unit, and in technical coordination with the Director of Data, Insight and Policy, the National Data Officer will bolster the Global Office Washington’s strategic engagement with the United States Government, Multilateral Development Banks and Academia by better harnessing IOM’s data capabilities across country, regional, and global levels.
