The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is the nation’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. ALF promotes education, advocacy, support services, and research to prevent, treat, and cure liver disease.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of frontline fundraising or sales experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the minimum requirements for the position.
  • Proven track record of sales success in a non-profit environment.
  • Comfortable with corporate solicitations in various business sectors, with national companies a plus.
  • Must be an action-oriented individual and comfortable taking risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated capabilities delivering compelling presentations and proposals are a must.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Exhibit a keen attention to detail, including follow-through and follow-up.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Be able to set and keep to internal deadlines.
  • Have drive and passion for community and donor development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing communication with existing pharmaceutical donors to secure resources to support ALF’s programmatic initiatives.
  • Secure new sponsorship underwriting by identifying prospects (corporate, including non-pharmaceutical donors), researching, qualifying, approaching, and soliciting support. Adhere to the steps of the fundraising cycle and best practices to move relationships through the process.
  • Conduct the full range of activities required to write, prepare, submit (via email or grant portals), and manage grant proposals to corporations. This includes developing budgets and budget narratives.
  • Write and submit grant reports, including obtaining and interpreting program information and data.
  • Field cold calls from businesses interested in getting involved with ALF and follow up to secure support.
  • Complete monthly activity reports to demonstrate goal achievements.
  • Ensure fulfillment and delivery of all deliverables. Work with team members to ensure quality work and meet deadlines.
  • Document all sponsorships and complete all necessary paperwork for accounting and operational fulfillment.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports as assigned.
  • Attend ALF meetings when requested.
  • All other duties as required.
