The USTA is seeking a National Coach for Women's Tennis to support the identification, development, and transition of elite female players in the Early Professional developmental stage. This role involves direct player coaching and incremental off-court leadership responsibilities, focusing on implementing and executing USA Tennis strategy for high-performance players. The goal is to maximize the number of players achieving Top 50 pathway milestones and support the achievement of set KPIs for the Early Professional stage. The position emphasizes supporting USA Tennis strategy, cultural values, and resource management, while ensuring players are on track for success and progressing through developmental levels. The coach will provide direct coaching to top prospects, foster understanding of strategy and KPIs among the coaching team, and participate in internal and cross-functional meetings to drive accountability. Development of players' progress plans, in collaboration with the performance team and Head of Women's Tennis, is key, as is tracking progress and ensuring adequate resource allocation. The role also involves partnering with sections, colleges, and the private sector to strengthen developmental pathways, building deep relationships with players, coaches, and agents, and acting as an expert on player backgrounds and needs. The coach will champion USA Tennis culture, mentor other coaches for consistent methodology, and align programming with the Head of Women's Tennis and Player ID & Development Sr. Director. Participation in player selection, wild card determinations, pathway progression decisions, and evaluation of coaching effectiveness are also core functions.
