About The Position

The National Channel Development Specialist serves as a key business partner supporting national 2-step distributors, builders, dealers, and strategic channel programs. This role is responsible for analyzing channel performance, developing actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring effective execution of sales and customer programs. The position acts as a central point of coordination between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, and external partners to drive profitable growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales support, channel operations, business analytics, sales operations, customer development, or related commercial functions.
  • Experience working with 2-step distribution, dealer networks, national accounts, or builder programs strongly preferred.
  • Experience with sell-in, sell-thru, inventory, and channel performance analytics preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, CRM platforms, and AI-enabled business tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate insights and recommendations to multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

  • Manage reporting, dashboards, and scorecards for 2-step distributors, including sell-in, sell thru, inventory, pricing, and market performance data.
  • Analyze builder, dealer, distributor, and market data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and growth initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and recommend actions to improve channel effectiveness and profitability.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting for leadership, strategic account teams, and customer facing presentations.
  • Maintain data integrity across CRM, reporting platforms, and customer databases.
  • Partner with Strategic Account Managers, Area Sales Managers, and sales leadership on customer planning, business reviews, and growth strategies.
  • Support development and execution of national account initiatives, distributor programs, and channel growth opportunities.
  • Assist with pricing programs, rebates, promotions, forecasting, and customer incentive programs.
  • Prepare presentations, analyses, and supporting materials for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), line reviews, customer meetings, and leadership reviews.
  • Assist with contract administration, program tracking, and performance measurement.
  • Coordinate communication and project execution among Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Support implementation of new programs, tools, systems, and process improvements impacting channel partners and customers.
  • Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures, best practices, and training materials.
  • Support customer onboarding, program launches, and business integration activities as needed.
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and industry developments to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, industry events, and field visits as needed.
  • Support special projects, business transformation initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic priorities as assigned.
