About The Position

National Account Specialist I provides a single point of service contact for designated national accounts. Provides support for National Account Managers. Assists in account implementation and manages assigned national contracts. Support products and services by addressing and completing customer requests related to their program, while abiding by environmental regulation requirements. Assist in the growth of the company by motivating customers to further utilize all Republic Services facilities and services.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business math and basic accounting processes
• Strong computer, MS Office Suite
• General knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee designated national contracts and all associated requirements
• Clearly communicate, both written and verbally, specific national account terms and program changes/additions to Republic Services Operational Divisions
• Facilitate adherence to contractual requirements through instructing and coordinating with various departments – including but not limited to invoicing, collections, operations, legal, billing, etc.
• Research and solve various customer concerns and questions, including those of a technical/regulatory variety
• Take ownership of account/s on all matters, maintaining accuracy and compliance, and solving issues on behalf of the customer
• Assist customers with waste characterizations and related documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
• Provide excellent/professional customer service (internally and externally) through telephone, e-mail, or face to face in a timely, accurate manner
• Audit and complete billing, invoices, and required reporting for national account customers
• Provide support to Republic Services national operations, technicians, and management support team
• Become knowledgeable of and coordinate full use of Republic Services and 3rd party services for national accounts
• Work simultaneously with National Account Managers to reach monthly and quarterly objectives
• Assist in the organization and implementation of new accounts as needed
• Participate in on-call support, including periodic after-hours support, to assist Republic Services technicians servicing our customers nationwide
• Utilize MS Excel to analyze waste and financial data to provide quarterly or on request data summaries to the customer
• Utilize data analyzed to create MS PowerPoint presentations; present findings to high level corporate customers
• Apply and research knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and hazardous materials
• Communicate effectively in a group setting including presenting to customers
