About The Position

We are a multimodal logistics firm serving retailers, foodservice distributors, and consumer goods producers nationwide. As a National Account Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. You will manage and grow a diverse portfolio of high-volume, national accounts, working with customers across the USA and Canada. Your role will include a mix of relationship-building, sales strategy, and operational oversight to ensure the best possible service and results for our clients. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: Full Accountability: Own your assigned book of business and drive its success through excellent customer service and proactive relationship management. Revenue Growth: Leverage your skills to drive revenue through new customer relationships and expanding opportunities within your existing accounts. Customer Experience: Be the go-to resource for your clients, ensuring a seamless logistics experience and managing day-to-day operational needs. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our corporate sales team to create and execute strategies that generate business, whether through new prospects or deepening relationships with existing clients. Multi-Tasking Mastery: Handle everything from dispatching company drivers, brokering freight, soliciting new customers, managing carrier relationships, and growing our carrier network. Strategic Input: Create customer quotes, develop marketing materials, and contribute to pricing strategies that align with our long-term business goals.

Requirements

  • Experience & Leadership: You’ve successfully led high-volume accounts and have experience managing logistics operations across the USA and Canada.
  • Problem Solver: You’re known for thinking outside the box, coming up with creative solutions, and handling challenges with a calm, can-do attitude.
  • Driven & Self-Motivated: You thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and have the drive to go above and beyond to achieve success.
  • Customer-Centric: Your ability to build strong, lasting relationships with clients is one of your greatest assets, and you’re always looking for ways to provide value and ensure satisfaction.
  • Multi-Tasker: You’ve juggled multiple accounts and responsibilities without missing a beat and are comfortable managing various logistics tasks.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Must possess basic PC skills: Microsoft Excel, Word.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and making decisions with limited supervision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Communication with customers, carriers, and drivers after-hours may be required.
  • Positive attitude with high energy.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in the transportation/logistics industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with McLeod software and a consistent record of accurately rating and pricing truckload shipments are a plus.
  • Existing and portable book of customers.
