About The Position

Kevin’s Natural Foods is seeking a strategic and highly analytical National Account Manager – Target to drive profitable sales growth and strengthen the relationship with one of our largest retail partners. In this role, you will own the Target business at the corporate level leading Joint Business Planning (JBP), and build relationships with buyers to influence assortment, innovation placement, and promotional & omnichannel execution. You will develop business plans, leverage data to identify opportunities and insights, and optimize trade spending. This is a high-impact position for a self-starter who thrives in a data-driven, fast-paced environment and can balance strategic thinking with strong execution discipline to continue scaling a rapidly growing brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of progressive CPG sales experience, with direct experience managing Target.
  • Proven track record of leading Joint Business Planning processes and managing trade investment to deliver profitable growth.
  • Expertise working in Target’s Partners Online (POL) system including an understanding of the process for new item setup (LaunchPad, IMN), submitting deals and approving contracts (VOP, TVI), tracking JBP Agreements (SBP), analyzing data (VIQ), among others.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including pricing strategy, vendor income management, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in syndicated data tools (Nielsen), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influence skills — with the ability to build credibility and drive results.
  • Background selling in the better-for-you, refrigerated, frozen, or meal solutions categories.
  • Experience helping scale revenue and build sales capabilities in a high-growth CPG company.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% for in-person meetings and key business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the annual Target Joint Business Plan (JBP), delivering targets for revenue, distribution, and trade investment.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with Target buyers and other key business partners to grow distribution, secure innovation, and deliver category growth objectives.
  • Lead all aspects of vendor income management, including promotional funding while managing other P&L controllables to deliver business objectives.
  • Drive fact-based selling using syndicated data (Nielsen), Target data from Partners Online (POL), and internal analytics to identify opportunities, close gaps, and influence decision-making.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with Target, proactively identifying risks and opportunities while developing action plans to deliver against commitments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, innovation, finance, demand planning, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure successful new product launches, customer specific marketing activity and accurate forecasting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Kevin’s Natural Foods and Target, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and execution across all initiatives.
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in the better-for-you refrigerated and frozen meal solutions space, supporting the brand’s rapid innovation pipeline.
  • Other duties as assigned or necessary.
