About The Position

Jovie Nannies + Sitters is seeking engaging, communicative, and friendly individuals to join their babysitter team. This is a full-time position with several opportunities available in your area, offering 30-40+ hours per week. The role involves providing care for children from toddler to elementary school age while their parents work, with most assignments occurring Monday through Friday during traditional working hours. Requirements

At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience.
Genuinely enjoy children and be an engaging, creative, child-focused individual.
Available at least five days per week to work 6 - 9 hour shifts between 7am - 7pm.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to assignments.
Ability to provide 3 references, 2 related to working with children (paid or unpaid), and 1 character reference.
At least 18 years of age or older.
Reliability is important.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer.
Retired teacher or teaching professional.
Experience caring for children under the age of 2.

Responsibilities

Provide care for children toddler – elementary school age while their parents work.
Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on observations of the children’s age-appropriate development.
Have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities in families' homes.
Communicate with parents and coworkers.
Perform common sense clean-up of your activities and meals with the child.
