About The Position

A close-knit and affectionate family is seeking a part-time nanny for their 6-month-old baby boy and 3-year-old daughter. The family values warmth, kindness, communication, and routine. The household is multigenerational and includes a friendly French bulldog. The ideal candidate will feel like a natural extension of the family, creating a safe, comforting, and joyful environment. The nanny will primarily work with the mother (working from home), grandmother, baby, and dog. The 6-month-old is sweet, easy-going, and interactive, enjoying engagement through talking, singing, and reading. The 3-year-old, who attends daycare most of the day, is charismatic and loves dancing, singing, laughing, and storytelling, and is a great big sister. The nanny should be warm, positive, patient, and emotionally intuitive, enjoying engaging with children through various activities. Respect for family routines, open communication, and a loving presence are important. Comfort with dogs and open communication regarding children's health are also expected. The role requires someone who can have fun and bring out the silly side in children.

Requirements

  • 5 years of childcare experience with infants
  • Some experience with toddlers (can be professional and personal combined)
  • At least 1 previous nanny position
  • Comfortable supporting developmental milestones
  • Prior experience transitioning an infant to solids
  • Willing to sign an NDA
  • Pediatric CPR certified or willing to obtain
  • Fluent in conversational English
  • Comfortable with dogs
  • Willing to take driving and drug screens for employment
  • Willing to follow house rules (e.g., no screen time for children, no strong fragrances/lotions)
  • Physically able to lift 20-30 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Caring for an infant throughout the day
  • Supporting feeding routines

  • Managing naps (contact naps and crib naps)
  • Changing diapers and ensuring good hygiene
  • Bottle preparation
  • Introducing solids when appropriate
  • Engaging children through books, music, singing, narrating, and playful interaction
  • Maintaining a warm and attentive environment
  • Children's laundry
  • Simple children's meal prep
  • Light tidying of child-related spaces
  • Cleaning bottles, baby dishes, high chair, and breast pump parts
