About The Position

A full-time lead nanny is needed for a West Village family with four children ages 1–8. The nanny will provide warm, attentive care and handle child-related household tasks such as cooking, laundry, tidying, organizing, and light cleaning. The three older children attend school from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the youngest child, age 1, is home during the day. An afternoon nanny assists from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the children’s busy schedules. The role requires the ability to care for all four children when needed, remain calm while managing competing priorities, and take initiative with the children and around the home. This is a live-out position with required flexibility for evening coverage, overnights, domestic and international family travel, and occasional coverage for other nannies. The position is based in the West Village, New York City, and is to start as soon as possible. The role guarantees 40 hours per week, with a general schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., typically totaling 48 hours. Hours above 40 are paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate. Compensation is $50 per hour, dependent on experience, as a W-2 employee.
