About The Position
A family of three residing in Chelsea, NY is seeking a nanny to help care for their 2-year-old daughter. The daughter attends school from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The family offers two schedule options: a live-out schedule of 3:30 pm to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, with one evening of babysitting and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm (34.5 hours per week), or a live-in/out schedule that includes mornings from 7:30 am to 8:30 am, afternoons from 3:30 pm to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, one evening of babysitting, and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm. The full-time role requires working full days during school holidays and flexible Saturdays, with a year-round full-time salary to ensure availability. The position is to start at the end of August or beginning of September.
Requirements
- Patient, loving, and kind
- Ability to support their daughters development
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain one
- Valid US work authorization
- Travel ready passport
- Fluent English speaking
- Ability to care for the child overnight when the parents travel (2-3 nights per month)
Nice To Haves
- French speaking is a plus
Responsibilities
- Everything related to the care of the child, including but not limited to her laundry, organizing and tidying her room, etc
- Preparing healthy meals
- Planning fun activities and outings
- Have a firm but fair approach with the ability to set boundaries, following the parents' preferences
- Support bath and bedtime routines
- Ensure the child's school bag and clothing is prepare for the next day
- Travel with the family if required
- Babysitting
