About The Position

A single mother in Paramus is looking for a reliable, responsible, take-charge part-time nanny to take care of her two children, ages 4 years old and 11 years old. Care will primarily be for one child, with occasional supervision for the other child. The schedule is Monday to Thursday from 2:30PM to 7:30PM. This schedule may increase based on the summer camp schedule. This position is on the books only.

Requirements

• Reliable
• Punctual

• Clean driving record
• Able to handle conflict
• Able to make judgment calls without having to overcommunicate with single, working Mom
• Able to take charge and take initiative
• Must be able to provide valid work and childcare references
• Applicants will be subject to various background screens

Nice To Haves

• Additional language skills (in Spanish or French) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervising homework
• Preparing snacks
• Transporting children to afterschool activities when needed
• Ensuring a safe and supportive environment while managing playtime and downtime
• Children’s laundry
• Basic tidying after children
• Meal preparation including cooking involved for children, basic (snacks etc.)
