Nanny – Potomac, MD
About The Position
A family in Potomac, MD is seeking a reliable, engaging, and attentive nanny to care for their children (ages 5.5 and 4.5, plus a newborn arriving in August). The family is looking for someone to support their growing household starting part-time in late August, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role in January 2027. The position will involve providing engaging and nurturing care, safely transporting children to activities, preparing meals, and performing light housekeeping related to the children's areas and laundry. An SUV will be provided for work-related driving.
Requirements
- Prior professional childcare experience required
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Experience with infants and newborns strongly preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Multilingual skills (speaking a second language) is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, nurturing care and support for early childhood development
- Safely transport children to and from school, sports, and local activities (within a 5–8 mile radius)
- Prepare after-school snacks and dinner for the children
- Perform light housekeeping in children's play/living areas
- Assist with children's laundry
