About The Position

A warm and welcoming Bay Area family is seeking an experienced Nanny to provide exceptional care for their sweet infant. The ideal candidate is nurturing, collaborative, has extensive experience with infants, and has outstanding professional references. Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Requirements

  • Maintaining absolute confidentiality regarding the family's life, finances, routines, and property. This is essential in high-net-worth positions.
  • Operating professionally and respectfully within the home, only focusing on child-related duties unless otherwise directed.
  • Demonstrating flexibility for occasional late stays or changes to the schedule, if discussed and agreed upon, and ensuring punctuality.
  • Working collaboratively with any other household staff (e.g., Estate Manager, Chef, Housekeepers) to ensure seamless household operation.
  • Candidates must have or be willing to obtain vaccinations including COVID and the annual COVID boosters, annual flu shots, Tdap, and MMR.

Responsibilities

  • Providing full, attentive, and consistent care for the child/infant during all scheduled hours. This includes feeding, diapering, bathing, and ensuring the child's safety at all times.
  • Implementing and strictly maintaining the family's established daily schedule, including nap times, meal times, and planned activities.
  • Planning and executing age-appropriate, stimulating, and educational activities (e.g., reading, walks, singing, sensory play) to support the child's cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
  • Administering medication as directed by parents (with proper training/instructions) and closely monitoring the child for any signs of illness, injury, or discomfort.
  • Safely taking the child on walks, to parks, or to organized activities, ensuring all necessary supplies (snacks, water, sunscreen) are taken.
  • Preparing fresh, nutritious vegetarian meals and snacks for the child (when at a solid food age), ensuring cleanliness and adherence to any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Keeping the child's room, play areas, and toys tidy, organized, and clean throughout the day.
  • Handling all the child's laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothes and linens.
  • Stocking and organizing all child-related supplies (diapers, wipes, creams, formula/food) and communicating inventory needs to the parents/estate management.
  • Maintaining a clear, concise log or report detailing the day's events, including: Meal times and amounts consumed. Nap/sleep intervals. Diaper changes (noting wet/soiled). Activities, observations, and any concerns or milestones.
  • Providing a clear and efficient verbal handoff to the parent(s) at the end of the shift.
  • Maintaining open and proactive communication with parents regarding the child's well-being, schedule adherence, and developmental progress.
